Dev took the boys up to the big boy toy store car show and they've all been talking about it ever since.
We usually go each year as a family because it's fun to see all of the new cars,
but this year Ellee and I had some quiet time girl time at Hobby Lobby while the boys did their thing.
Tagg loves green and jeeps, so it's safe to say he was a pretty happy camper.
Ellee is getting so big!
She started playing peekaboo after waking up from naps so it was time to start thinking about lowering the crib.
The boys get quite the kick out of Ellee chasing after their remote control toys.
Who needs a pet when you have a little sister? Haha
It was an intense basketball game. She took it seriously.
Bells is pro going up stairs now. Going down? Not so much.
Stairs are always public enemy number two the first year. Right after legos-pennies-marbles.
Poor Tagg was so sick, and then Bost and Ellee caught it.
I think the poor air quality we had for so long was affecting everyone's immune systems.
Everyone in our neighborhood has been sick nonstop too.
Fortunately a storm came through this weekend and we have clean air again for now!
I was tagged on the gram and took this tired selfy in the carpool lane.
Sweats are my glamorous life. I love them.
I turned around for one second and she disappeared.
Where's Ellee?!
She had found a fort.
Last Sunday all three kids were sick and to stay sane we went for a LONG drive at nap time.
Parents for the win.
The sick smog was so thick in the canyon that I couldn't even get a clear picture.
Gag.
We were way up above the inversion in this picture,
but if you look towards the mountains in the distance that stuff that looks like fog? It's not fog.
The mountains trap cold air beneath warm air whenever there aren't any big storms that come through in the winter and this is what happens.
It usually doesn't get as bad as it has this year though.

We were at Target when Tagg came up to me with this blue sweater in his hands and his face glowing with excitement. Drums and guitars are his favorite flavor right now so when those cute, big brown eyes held it up and I saw the $3 clearance price tag I knew it was meant to be. He was so excited to be wearing it the next day that he asked me to take a picture of him to send to Dev. Trying to get him to hold still for a picture was obviously easy.
Tagg has such a big heart when it comes to Ellee. He was so sweet with her and protective of her during this bath...
until right after this picture when he filled his mouth with water and then sprayed it all over her face.
Brothers are a blessing and a curse.
Tagg was here.
Dev turned 29!! He is the best husband and father! He really is everything to us.
Bost and Bells still weren't feeling well that night, so we didn't want to leave them with a sitter and just went out for a quiet dinner with the fam.
But he may or may not have been spoiled by his wife who saved to get him his most wanted gift. Ahem.
And then there was that time I burned down my husband's birthday cake...
Just because this looks cute on pinterest, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
At least Boston thought is was the coolest exploding cake ever.
We switched out her curtains, lowered her crib, and I had finally gotten her to sleep so I could shower...
... and as soon as I turned on the water I heard her and peeked in on this cute face.
Good thing we lowered the crib because look who's standing!
And then there was the time I made 16 dozen cookies in one morning for my sister's party.
And then there was the time Dev took the boys to wash the car and pick up the dry cleaning and they came home in new matching Puma track suits. Sometimes I don't ask. They were being really sweet though, just wanting to be by each other.

I love your pictures. You are a freakin supermodel. Your boys look so teeny in those big bad trucks. Isn't it funny how boy toys and girl toys are just inbred in our children. And mmmm, cookies are my weakness!
ReplyDeleteI need to do this on my blog with my Insta photos. What's the easiest way to do it? Do you just connect your phone or do you download them from Instagram?!?! I'm not so smart! hahaha
ReplyDeleteYou are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd I still chuckle at the cake incident - hilarious!!!
Awesome cake and what was this amazing gift that Devin got???
